Nature Sports Club Conquers Mount Ararat Despite Freezing Cold

Members of the Rota Nature Sports Club in Van and a group of mountaineers from Izmir province managed to climb Mount Ararat, Türkiye’s tallest mountain, in 4 days despite the freezing weather of minus 44 degrees. Rota Nature Sports Club, which organizes events to introduce the Van Lake Basin and its surroundings and to raise nature awareness, also recorded amazing footage of the glorious mountain.

“Although our climb was very tiring, we are happy that we reached our goal and the unique views that both mountains offered us,” said Rota Nature Sports Club President Sedat Karacan.
