Nepal Floods and Landslides Death Toll Rises to 193

The death toll from floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall in Nepal since Friday has climbed to 193, with at least 31 still missing. Most fatalities occurred in the capital, Kathmandu, which faced its heaviest rainfall in 20 years. Flooded districts and landslides have disrupted highways, temporarily isolating the city. Nepalese authorities, with help from the army, have rescued 4,000 people using helicopters and boats. Search and rescue efforts continue, focusing on those stranded along blocked highways. Many injured victims are receiving treatment in hospitals.
