Yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation following the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh in Iran. Stating that Israel had dealt “crushing blows” to the Houthis, Hamas, and Hezbollah, Netanyahu said, “We will deal with everyone who harms us. Everyone who targets our children, kills our citizens, and harms our country.”
In response to the threats against Israel, which he says had increased following the attack in Beirut, the Israeli leader said that Israel was ready for every scenario.
The Israeli leader claimed responsibility for the attack on Majdal Shams by Fuad Shukr, the senior advisor to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, but did not touch on the killing of Hamas official Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
