Azerbaijan has discovered a new mass grave on the Askeran-Khojaly road containing the remains of at least 7 Azerbaijanis believed to be civilians killed during the 1992 Khojaly Massacre. Deputy Chair of the State Commission Eldar Samedov stated that the grave showed signs of violence and irregular burial, calling it further proof of war crimes by Armenian forces. Samedov noted that 3,990 Azerbaijanis remain missing from the First Karabakh War, including 210 from Khojaly, and emphasized that many victims were women and children. Excavations and identification efforts are ongoing.
