New Turkish consulate general opened in Chengdu, China.

Türkiye opened a new consulate general in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. Emphasizing that the opening of the Chengdu Consulate General reflects the commitment of the two countries to the will to strengthen relations, Hakkı Musa, Turkish Ambassador to Beijing, said that they wish to enhance cooperation with Sichuan province in the fields of tourism, culture, education, innovation, science, and technology, as well as economic and commercial cooperation.

“Since the establishment of our diplomatic relations with China in 1971, our bond has gradually strengthened. The two countries declared strategic cooperation in 2010. China is currently Turkey’s third major trading partner,” said Musa in his speech at the opening ceremony. “
