At least 54 people were killed in attacks on Zikke and Kimakpa villages in Nigeria’s Plateau state, Amnesty International reported. Armed assailants opened fire, looted homes, and set buildings ablaze.
The region continues to face deadly violence between Muslim and Christian farming communities. Over 50 people were also killed in similar clashes last week, displacing around 2,000 residents.
