North Korea accuses Israel of genocide at UN

North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Son Gyong accused Israel of committing “genocides and crimes against humanity that could eclipse Hitler’s” during his speech at the UN General Assembly in New York. He called on Israel to halt its actions in Gaza, withdraw from the territory, and allow the creation of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Kim also warned of rising global tensions, saying the UN must reform to remain credible and not serve “a small group of states.” Addressing security on the Korean Peninsula, he defended Pyongyang’s nuclear program as essential for survival, declaring, “We will never give up nuclear power.”
