Following the joint Freedom Shield Exercise launched by the USA and South Korea this week, North Korea conducted a large-scale exercise, personally directed by the country’s leader Kim Jong-un, to test the striking ability of the artillery units and increase their combat readiness.
The domestic media wrote that artillery units were instructed to continue the necessary preparations to perform “ruthless and rapid” attacks in the event of an actual war. Meanwhile, the frontline troops were described as capable of hitting the “enemy capital.”
