North Korea exhibited its latest weapons, including strategic and tactical weapons, at the “National Defense Development-2024” fair organized in Pyongyang. Photos released by the North Korean government showed that intercontinental ballistic and hypersonic missiles, as well as drones, multiple rocket launchers and tanks, were displayed in the fair. It was also stated that North Korean military fighter jets performed a demonstration flight over the fair area.
Speaking at the opening of the fair, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said, “We will continue to take resolute steps to eliminate all kinds of military threats to our country and nation, and we will completely break our enemies’ will to use force by constantly improving our national defense capabilities and resolutely exercising our right to self-defense.” The North Korean leader’s statements were interpreted as a message from North Korea, which has remained silent about the US elections, to the Donald Trump administration.
