The Russian Air Force’s 2 Tu-160 type long-range strategic bombers made a planned 8-hour flight over the Barents and Norwegian Sea, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that F-16 type warplanes of the Norwegian Air Force accompanied Russian planes in some regions during the flight, “F-16 type warplanes of the Norwegian Air Force accompanied Russian planes at certain points on the route.”
The ministry emphasized that the flights of Russian planes were carried out in strict accordance with international aviation rules.
