number of carretta caretta nests climbs up in türkiye

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change  in Türkiye continues efforts to protect the environment and natural life. The number of nests of endangered caretta carettas, which was 1,824 last year, increased to 2,551 this year, thanks to the measures taken in the breeding grounds of sea turtles. Caretta carettas were captured moving towards the sea after hatching from their eggs in Belek Beach, the largest nesting area in the Mediterranean.
