Number of Rescued in Aktau Plane Crash Rose to 32

Azerbaijan Airlines announced that the number of people rescued from the plane that took off from Baku to Grozny, Chechnya, Russia, and crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan, has increased to 32.

Of the passengers, 37 were Azerbaijani, 6 were Kazakh, 3 were Kyrgyz and 16 were Russian citizens. It was reported that 14 of those rescued were Azeri.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has decided to declare one-day national mourning in Azerbaijan due to the accident.
