numerous wooden sculptures burned on last day of spain’s fallas festival

The two-week-long annual festival, Fallas, which is celebrated in Spain’s Valencia to commemorate Saint Joseph, ended yesterday. As part of the traditional festival, parodic papier-maché, cardboard, and wooden sculptures that were displayed throughout the festival were burned on the last day of the event.
