Over Half a Million Tourists Visit Historical Town of Safranbolu in Turkey

Safranbolu’s historical district in Karabük, Turkey remains a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The town is Turkey’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site on an urban scale with its Ottoman-era inns, baths, mansions, fountains, mosques, and bridges. The visitors experience time-travel with untouched roads, streets and architecture. The town has managed to accommodate ten times its local population as tourists come mainly from Taiwan, South Korea, Austria and Russia to enjoy the historical town.
