Pakistan Declares 4-Day Holiday Over Severe Air Pollution in Punjab

Air pollution has reached critical levels in Pakistan’s Punjab province, particularly in Lahore, the country’s second-largest and most polluted city. As a response to the escalating air pollution crisis, authorities have declared a state of emergency. Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced a four-day holiday throughout the province, during which all schools will remain closed from Thursday to Sunday, and government institutions will not provide services.
