Pakistani police raid former PM Elahi’s house on corruption charges

In Pakistan, the Anti-Corruption Establishment raided the house of former Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and former Punjab Prime Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in Lahore on charges of corruption. While people in the residence were throwing stones at the police, the police entered the garden by breaking through the gate outside and detained nine people.

Elahi was arrested on corruption charges earlier and was released by the court on bail of 1 million Pakistani rupees today. The court announced that he was released due to lack of evidence.
