Pakistani PM Imran Khan meets Putin amid Ukraine crisis

A meeting was held between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. The bilateral relations were the subject of the 3-hour meeting between the two leaders, Russian officials said. Pakistani Prime Minister’s meeting was accompanied by Energy Minister Hammad Azhar, where Pakistan’s Ministry of Energy said about the natural gas pipeline named Pakistan Stream, “Both countries are willing to start the project as soon as possible.”

The 1,100-kilometer-long Pakistan Stream gas pipeline, also known as the North-South gas pipeline, was first accepted in 2015. It was decided that the construction of the pipeline would be financed by Russia and Pakistan.
