Israel has released Palestinian man named Maher Younis, who was sentenced to prison at the age of 25 on charges of murdering an Israeli soldier in 1983. Liberated after 40 years, 65-year-old Younis went to his family in the town of Ar’a. He called for the unity of the Palestinian people, wishing for the release of all Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
Additionally, his cousin, Karim Younis, was also released two weeks earlier also after serving 40 years in prison.
