Panama Elects Jose Raul Mulino as New President

Jose Raul Mulino, member of the centre-right party Realizing Gaols, won the presidential race in Panama. According to the results published after 92% of the votes were counted, he superseded his main rival with 9 points by receiving around 35% of the votes.

The 64-year-old previously served as the country’s minister of public security, minister of government and justice, and minister of foreign affairs.
