paris streets covered in garbage due to workers’ strike

As sanitation workers continue their strike over the new pension reform that aims to raise the retirement age, tons of trash remained uncollected on the sidewalks of Paris, the capital of France. The Paris city hall reported on Monday that 5,600 tonnes of garbage remained uncollected in the streets.

The workers have been on strike for over a week and plan to continue until March 20.
