Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called Azerbaijan’s decision to lift transit restrictions on Armenia a “historic development,” saying Yerevan is ready to allow two-way truck passage between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
Speaking in parliament, Pashinyan said there are “no obstacles” to freight transport along the Margara–Yeghegnadzor–Sisian–Goris route and noted ongoing cooperation with the US on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.
He added that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan “is now a reality” and said the 2026 elections will determine whether Armenia continues on the path to peace or returns to conflict.
