Passenger Injured after Power Bank Explodes at Melbourne Airport

A man in his 50s suffered burns to his legs and fingers after a portable charger in his pocket overheated and caught fire at a Qantas Airways lounge in Melbourne, Australia. The blaze filled the lounge with smoke, prompting the evacuation of about 250 people. The injured passenger was treated at the scene and later discharged from the hospital. The lounge reopened two hours later. Qantas said it is reviewing its lithium battery policy following the incident, which comes months after a similar fire on a Sydney–Hobart flight.
