passenger plane makes emergency landing at Sydney Airport

A Qantas Airways flight from Auckland, New Zealand, landed at Sydney airport after experiencing an issue with one of its engines. The Boeing 737-800 jet called “mayday” as it flew over the water an hour before reaching its destination in Sydney. “The plane will be checked by our engineers after landing,” Qantas spokesperson said in a statement.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
