At around 03:39 local time, 18 carriages of a passenger train derailed in the West Singhbhum district of the eastern state of Jharkhand, leaving 2 dead and 20 injured.
Authorities said that the accident might have occurred due to a derailed freight train in the opposite direction hitting the passenger train.
