After restoring peace in Şırnak’s Uludere district in Türkiye, Mayor Sait Ürek is building roads through challenging mountain terrain to provide essential services to previously isolated areas. Municipal teams have created roads in just two months, allowing access to plateaus once plagued by insecurity due to terrorism. Mayor Ürek’s efforts are earning praise from local residents, as they now have access to these areas for activities like beekeeping and animal husbandry.
