Pezeshkian Touches Upon Iran’s Wish to Return Nuclear Agreement and Ongoing Wars

Newly-elected Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian touched upon Iran’s new policies, the Ukraine-Russia war, and Israeli attacks during his speech speaking at the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Stating that they adopted a government policy based on constructive interaction with the world, economic development, and reform, and that Iran wants to take part in the new world order, the Iranian president announced that Iran was ready to return to the nuclear agreement and that negotiations could be held on other issues with countries that fulfilled their commitments in the agreement.

Noting that Iran always wanted peace instead of war across the world, Pezeshkian expressed his support for all initiatives and dialogues that will end the Ukraine-Russia war and ensure peace between the two countries and called for an end to Israel’s attacks in Gaza and Lebanon, which he calls massacres and says should be stopped before they spread further.
