Philippines Faces Rising Death Toll from Severe Rains and Landslides

In the Philippines, the death toll from floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains has risen to 16, with 11 people reported injured. Search operations are ongoing for three missing individuals. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) revealed that the Davao region has been the most affected, with 772,000 people impacted by the severe weather, leading to the evacuation of 409,000 individuals from their homes.
