Philippines Landslide: 45 Injured, 41 Missing in Ongoing Rescue

 

In the Philippines, heavy rains persisting for about 10 days triggered a landslide in Maco town, Davao de Oro, injuring 45 people, with 41 individuals still unaccounted for. The landslide occurred as mining company employees awaited transportation. Among the injured, 3 are in serious condition. Soldiers, along with other teams, are engaged in search and rescue operations, initiated after the incident around 19:30 local time. Reports indicate that several buses and structures are buried, prompting collaborative efforts by government and private rescue teams supporting the Philippine army’s operations.
