The death toll from floods and landslides caused by Tropical Storm Trami in the Philippines has climbed to 145, with 115 injured, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. Over 7.3 million people have been affected, and 761,000 have been displaced as search efforts continue for 37 missing individuals.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Kong-rey has intensified into a super typhoon, projected to hit Taiwan’s southeast coast as a Category 4 storm. In preparation, Taiwan has canceled flights, halted some ferry services, and called fishing boats to shore.
