A McDonnell Douglas MD-87 type passenger plane, carrying 21 people including 3 crew members, crashed shortly after taking off from Houston Executive Airport in the US state of Texas. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that the plane crashed into the fence after taking off from the airport, and crashed into an empty territory. The entire people aboard survived as they were evacuated quickly and safely after the accident, authorities stated.

The plane has reportedly been chartered to go to the fourth game of the American League championship series in Boston between the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros baseball teams. The US National Transportation Safety Board launched an investigation into the accident.
