Plane with 181 On Board Crashes Wall in South Korea: At Least 124 Dead

A passenger plane, which took off from Bangkok, Thailand, with 175 passengers and 6 crew members, skidded off the runway and crashed a wall during landing at Muan International Airport in South Korea, at around 09:00 local time, due to a landing gear failure, according to initial reports. Authorities said at least 124 people died and that most of the remaining passengers, except for the two surviving crew members, are estimated to have died.

Jeju Air, the company that owns the Boeing 737-800 type plane, said that a special team has been set up to support the families of the passengers and apologized to everyone who suffered losses and the public due to the accident.
