Three people were injured when a 20-meter-high iron platform collapsed due to strong winds at TEKNOFEST 2025 in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The injured were taken to Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital. TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel visited the victims and stated their condition was stable. The platform fell during the event’s opening ceremony after a sudden windstorm disrupted the otherwise calm weather.
