Poland Shivers as Thermometers Plunge to -25 Degrees

The winter season has descended upon Poland in Eastern Europe, bringing heavy snowfall and plummeting temperatures. Daytime thermometers recorded lows of minus 10 degrees Celsius, dipping even further to minus 25 degrees in certain regions overnight. Snow accumulation reached 30 centimeters in settlements and a staggering 100 centimeters in mountainous areas. Particularly harsh conditions prevailed in the southern regions of Silesia, Lower Carpathia, and Lesser Poland (Malopolska).

Transportation services faced disruptions, with train delays and flight cancellations attributed to the severe weather. Forecasters anticipate the freezing conditions to persist through the upcoming week, affecting flight schedules as well.
