Police station catches fire in Thailand

A fire broke out in a police station building in the Sathorn district of Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, at around 04:30 local time and spread to all three floors of the building in a short time. According to eyewitnesses, explosions were also heard from time to time during the fire. Firefighters, who had to intervene in the fire only from the outside in case the roof collapsed, managed to control it after an hour.

The Thai Metropolitan Police stated that the fire started downstairs where official documents are stored, and it will take time to check whether any documents related to important cases have been destroyed.
