Polish police seized approximately 21 million packs of illicit cigarettes, ready for shipping, in a raid carried out on a warehouse in the town of Plonsk, 1 hour away from the Polish capital, Warsaw.
The Central Bureau of Investigation stated that 8 people related to the incident were detained, and 2 vehicles and various amounts of foreign currency were seized.
The 8 suspects, that includes Russian, Ukrainian and Israeli citizens, were arrested by the court.
The market value of the seized cigarettes is recorded as 16 million Zloty (equals to approximately 3.5 million Euro).
