Polish rescue team returns from Türkiye, receives welcome ceremony

HUSAR, the special team of the Polish fire brigade, returned to Poland after helping Türkiye in relief efforts. The team was welcomed with an official ceremony. After the ceremony, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Warsaw, Cengiz Kamil Fırat received information from the Polish authorities. Andrzej Bartkowiak, commander-in-chief of the Polish Fire Brigade, also gave information about the efforts in Türkiye.

“We did our job. Thank you again, ambassador, and to everyone in your presence. I am happy that we were able to help you. I am happy that we saved 12 people, even though it is our duty anyway. We fought for every person trapped under the rubble. The number recovered remains at 12. “I’m sorry about that. It’s a rule for firefighters in Poland, one lifesaver saves the whole world,” Bartkowiak said.
