powerful storm hits eastern turkey

A powerful blizzard followed by a storm struck Turkey’s eastern province of Erzurum, toppling trees and building roofs. The roof of Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Primary School, located in Palandöken district in the city, was blown away and toppled over the school garden in the storm that reached a speed of 50 kilometers per hour. The windows of the houses were shattered in the storm, and the vehicles were damaged. No casualties have been reported so far.
