Presumably 100 million years old cave discovered in Muğla, Turkiye

Sarı Otluk Cave, which is estimated by scientists to have a history of about 50 to 100 million years, was discovered in the Yatağan district of Muğla.

Having a depth of 108 meters and a width of 208 meters according to the first measurements, the cave contains many marble stalactites and many different kinds of insects, especially bats. Scientists from different professions continue their research in the cave that can only be entered with protection suits and tubes.

Researcher Tarcan Oğuz, the discoverer of the cave, said that the cave will be taken under preservation after the samples are examined.
