Thousands of people from various nationalities gathered at Heumarkt Square in Cologne, Germany, to hold a demonstration in support of Palestine. Slamming Germany’s support for Israel, the demonstrators called for an immediate halt to Israel’s attacks on Palestine. Meanwhile, a group of about 10 people with Israeli flags in their hands held a counter-demonstration in the same area. The demonstrations, against which extensive security measures were taken, ended without any trouble occurring.
