Protesters who support the coup in Burkina Faso attacked the French Embassy in the capital, Ouagadougou, following the allegations that the overthrown leader Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba hid in a French military base. The protesters flamed the building while shouting slogans. The embassy denied the allegations and underlined that they did not hide Damiba and they had no relation with the situation in Burkina Faso.
The army in Burkina Faso had announced that it seized the administration yesterday, and announced that President Paul Henri Damiba was dismissed, the constitution was suspended, and the government and parliament were dissolved.
