Hundreds of demonstrators in France blocked the entrance to the Louvre Museum in Paris, opposing the government’s controversial pension. Protesters carried General Confederation of Labor (CGT) flags and chanted, “The Mona Lisa is on strike,” “Work less, live more,” and “We will not back down.”
The museum issued a statement on its official website, stating that “Due to the ongoing public strikes in France, the museum will not be able to open this morning. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.”
