protesters raid sao paulo stock market building in brazil

In Brazil, the Homeless Workers Movement raided the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange with pots and pans. The Homeless Workers Movement stated that food insecurity in Brazil affects more than 116 million people, and more than 19 million people in the country live below the hunger line. The movement also brought forward that with the Covid-19 pandemic, banks made record profits in the country and 42 new billionaires emerged thanks to their increase in huge wealth.

The political crisis causes inflation in Brazil, which resulted in a 5% decrease in the stock market due to the demand for an increase in interest rates. During the pandemic, about 15 million people have become unemployed in Brazil.
