Protesters take strees on 40th day of Najafi’s death in Iran

Protests were held on the 40th anniversary of Hadis Najafi’s death, which occurred as a result of security forces opening fire during demonstrations in Keraj, Iran, following the death of Mahsa Amini. Protesters gathered at Kerec’s Sakine Cemetery, where Najafi’s grave is located, and chanted “Down with the Dictator.”

While the activists closed the Tehran-Kerec and Keraj-Qazvin highways to traffic, clashes broke out between the demonstrators and the security forces. The demonstrators attacked police vehicles with stones. One person from the Basic militia of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards lost his life, while a total of 5 police officers were injured.
