Protests in Pakistan over Sweden Qur’an burning

In Lahore, Pakistan, hundreds of people protested the burning of the Quran by Rasmus Paludan, a far-right politician from Sweden. This disrespectful and provocative act, which occurred in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm, angered Muslims around the world. The protesters in Lahore chanted slogans against Sweden, and Pakistan’s government deemed the burning of the Quran as “disgusting” and “disrespectful” for the religious sentiments of 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide.
