Russian President Vladimir Putin, attending the Belt and Road International Cooperation Forum in Beijing, referred to the attack on Gaza’s Al Ahli Arab Hospital, which resulted in over 500 casualties, as a “disaster.” He stressed the urgency of ending the conflict and initiating negotiations, acknowledging the importance of the humanitarian aspect.
Putin also expressed support for the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state as a positive step in the resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian crisis. He revealed that discussions with leaders from five countries highlighted a collective desire to prevent further escalation of the conflict and the fear of it evolving into a widespread war.
