Putin: Israel-Iran Crisis Solvable, Warns Against Escalation

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the Israel-Iran conflict can be resolved, noting Iran’s peaceful nuclear goals and Israel’s security concerns could both be addressed. “There are options,” Putin said at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, adding that Russia has shared proposals with both sides. When asked about a possible Israeli assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei, Putin replied, “I don’t even want to discuss such a possibility.”

On Ukraine, Putin said he’s open to talks with President Zelenskyy only at the final stage, but questioned his legitimacy. He warned that if no deal is reached, Russia will achieve its goals militarily.
