Russian President Vladimir Putin made his first overseas visit to China after being re-elected as president. After being welcomed by Chinese President Xi Jinping with an official welcome ceremony in Beijing, Putin went to Xi’s presidential residence, where they talked about their bilateral relations.
“As always, in the new period, we aim to increase good neighborliness and trust relations with Russia, increase the closeness between the two peoples, and make joint efforts for multinationality and development,” Chinese President said.
