Putin: ‘The West wants to divide and plunder Russia’

Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a pointed message at the World Russian People’s Council, aligning with conservative values and criticizing Western nations. Emphasizing Russia’s multiculturalism as an advantage, Putin condemned Western elites for promoting Russophobia, racism, and neo-Nazism. He highlighted Russia’s diversity across cultures, traditions, languages, and ethnic groups, asserting that this unity contradicts the ideologies of Western racists and colonialists aiming for disintegration and exploitation. Putin warned against external interventions or provocations aimed at inciting inter-ethnic or inter-religious conflict, branding them as aggressive actions. He affirmed Russia’s readiness to counter such threats, labeling terrorism and extremism as tools employed against the country.
