Putin Visits Mongolia Despite ICC’s Arrest Warrant

Russian President Vladimir Putin went to Mongolia for an official visit despite an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court. The Russian leader was welcomed with an official ceremony by Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.

The International Criminal Court, located in The Hague, Netherlands, issued an arrest warrant for Putin on March 17, 2023, upon the request of ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan.
