Queen Elizabeth marks 96th birthday with gun salutes

A ceremony was held at Windsor Castle for the Queen Elizabeth’s 96th birthday, the longest reigning monarch of England. The Coldstream guards at Windsor Castle held a changing of the guard. The song “Happy Birthday” was played for the Queen by the Coldstream Guards Group. The ceremony, which was open to the public, continued with gun salutes by soldiers in Hyde Park in the capital, London. Royal soldiers fired a 41-gun salute.

The Queen went to her Wood Farm in Sandringham, in the Norfolk region for her birthday celebration. Royal family members are expected to gather at Sandringham for the Queen’s birthday, which is one of the favorite places of Prince Philip.
